Summary
"The Fellowship of the Ring" adapts the medieval fantasy novel by J.R.R. Tolkien. An ancient Ring which was believed to have been lost for centuries is found and, through a strange twist in fate, is given to a small Hobbit named Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood). When Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen) discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo sets out on an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom to destroy it. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas Greenleaf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, and facing evil and danger at every turn, the Fellowship of the Ring must destroy the Ring to ensure the end of the Dark Lords' reign.
