Summary

received with great success. This 2002 adaptation is our generation's version of this
Galsworthy's tale of jealousies, infidelities, and
estrangement which come to life against a backdrop of social change, private opulence,
and political chaos. A true classic of English literature, "The Forsyte Saga" paints a
fascinating picture of life in Victorian London, centered around the wealthy Forsyte
family. A thriving dynasty, the Forsytes undergo a turbulent transition to the modern
age, all the while grasping to protect themselves from social turmoil through their
wealth. The film stars Damian Lewis, Rupert Graves, Gina McKee and Ioan Gruffold.
