Frederick Carl Frieseke Gallery

Frederick Carl Frieseke (1874-1939) was a prominent American Impressionist painter. Born in Owosso, Michigan, he later studied at the The Art Institute of Chicago, the Art Students League in New York City and later in Paris. Frieseke's art has been described "Decorative Impressionism." He often painted women in lush, colorful surroundings like his garden which was tended by his wife.
