Leonardo DaVinci Gallery
Born in Florence, Italy, Leonardo Da Vinci
was perhaps the most famous Italian painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, and engineer of the Renaissance. Da Vinci's
genius, perhaps more than that of any other figure, epitomized the Renaissance ideals. His Mona Lisa and other
paintings of finely dressed, elegant women are among the most widely popular and influential paintings of the period. In addition, his
notebooks reveal a spirit of scientific inquiry and a mechanical inventiveness that were centuries ahead of his time.
